Karen Currie continues the noa tradition!

noa began in a carriage house in Groton, MA, in 2002. The West Concord store opened in 2008 on one of suburban Boston's few remaining functional Main Streets, home to a cobbler, an old-fashioned 5&10, a fish market, a natural foods market, a few bakeries, and several eateries including farm-to-table choices.

noa features the work of 100+ New England artists and everyday people. According to its original founder, "it's like the farmer's market of retail”. It’s great to know that we can support the local and regional artisan communities as well as provide unique choices for our customers—both local and friends from afar.

Everyone loves a gift, and noa is here to help you select your perfect one! We are the proud winner of Yankee Magazine's 2012 Editor's Choice Award for "Best Artisan Gifts," as well as being named "Best of the New" by Boston Globe Magazine in 2012. We were named one of "5 Best Places to Shop for Mother's Day" in 2014, a top ranker on the Boston A-List for "Best Costume Jewelry" and “Best Gift Shop” in 2013, 2014, and 2017, and winner of “Best Jewelry” and “Best Gifts” (runner up) for the past nine years in Gatehouse Media's Reader's Choice Awards. In 2018, we were also named a Regional Favorite for “Best Jewelry”.

noa is now owned by Karen Currie, a long-time customer and avid shopper. Karen resides in West Concord, and when she’s not admiring artisan wares on a shopping adventure, she enjoys spending her free time with her extended family in Concord and the Pacific Northwest. Karen currently serves on the West Concord Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors of the Concord Chamber of Commerce.

Thank YOU for "shopping small" and supporting local business and artisans!
