Ever since Morgan was a child she has always loved art--from drawing detailed pictures as a child to pottery and jewelry in her High School years. After High School she attended Maine College of Art, initially as a ceramics major, but after taking metalsmithing and jewelry she was hooked, and switched her major. Morgan graduated in 1998 with my BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry.
Morgan resides in Maine with her husband and son. Being on the coast is an important factor and inspiration of her work. Many of her jewelry pieces contain sea glass, natural pearls, or beach stones. Morgan and her son and go out hunting a lot for sea glass, and beach stones is very therapeutic and relaxing for Morgan. She can spend hours staring at the beach floor looking for the perfect piece. Morgan and her son have their secret hunting spots that they have sworn to never to tell anyone.
Morgan also has a passion for gemstones, they are her addiction. She loves setting them with sea glass and beach stones. That way it gives her jewelry a polished and a natural look. Her designs are simple but elegant; and Morgan is always up for a challenge if a client wants a custom piece made.
